TeamWorks
Do you want to find like-minded individuals interested in bettering the community?
Do you get a thrill in a team setting, discussing relevant issues and working toward a common goal?
Then the TeamWorks (TW) program at HandsOn Bay Area (HOBA) might be for you! TeamWorks is the Bay Area’s premier volunteer program for introducing, educating, and engaging people in fun, reflective, hands on group community service activities. It combines our three core values – volunteer, learn, lead – into one great program.
The mission of TeamWorks is to inspire a deeper and more informed model of volunteerism. This model enables current and future HOBA volunteers to experience the personal rewards of: building community and trust through team volunteer work, understanding our communities’ needs more fully and committing consistent and purposeful involvement to meet those needs.
HOBA has two types of TeamWorks programs: TW Explore and TW Focus
Each series brings together a team of 7-15 volunteers, 18 years and older to volunteer at 5-7 projects. The program incorporates direct service (volunteer), facilitated reflection (learn) and collaboration (lead).
Anyone can apply. There is no cost for the application. If selected, a non-refundable $25 registration fee is required. (A limited number of scholarships will be available on a needs basis.)
